Student Poster Presentations (Kaleidoscope)

Kaleidoscope provides graduate students the opportunity to present professionally and receive feedback from faculty reviewers. It also provides professional development opportunities tailored to future teacher educators. Students are able to share their research and literature reviews.

We hope you consider submitting a student poster presentation. Poster sessions are an opportunity to share classroom research, action research, or doctoral research including results in a visual presentation with an opportunity for attendees to ask follow-up questions of the presenter. 

Presentations may fall within any of the five focused strands:

  • Strand 1: School, District and State Personnel- Topics related to Climate, Culture, and Administrative and Instructional Support
  • Strand 2: Curriculum and Instruction- Strategies and Interventions for Students with Exceptionalities 
  • Strand 3: Culturally, Linguistically, and Socially Diverse Students with Exceptionalities
  • Strand 4: Family, School and Community Partnerships- Focused on meaningfully working with partners to address the needs of students with exceptionalities. 
  • Strand 5: Transition, Self-Determination, Self-Advocacy, College and Career.

Presenter Requirements:

  1. Proposals must be submitted online.
  2. All presenters must respect presentation times and be available when scheduled. Once the conference schedule has been disseminated, poster session times cannot be changed.
  3. All presenters and co-presenters are responsible for all registration fees and expenses and MUST register no later than the early bird registration deadline.

Poster Presentation Guidelines: ​​​​​​​

Presenters must: (1) prepare a poster exhibit of high quality that can stand alone in conveying information, and (2) attend the entire poster session and address questions from attendees. Poster sessions are 45 minutes long.
